Last night was such an odd experience. Some of the bounces that have gone against the Preds this year (waved off goals, hitting a post, unlucky bounces off defensemen, etc.) finally went the Preds' way all at one time.

Toronto is playing bad right now, so I'm not sure what you can really take away from this game, except the fact that somehow Jokinen still hasn't scored a point this year. Not sure how that's possible. Does he have a special deal with Dunkin' Donuts that if he goes all year with 0 points, everyone in Nashville gets a dozen?

Sheesh. Please come back quickly, Mike Fisher. Please. There are going to be games where the Preds need a decent 3rd line forward that knows how to keep his stick down and get the puck towards the net.

With 6 of their next 8 at home, and a good mix of strong & weak teams, this is going to be a critical stretch. Gotta take advantage of home ice & keep improving the special teams play.

Jokinen may be trying to take a run at the Bill Muckalt record. He was acquired by the Senators in the trade that got them Zdeno Chara and Jason Spezza from the Islanders for Alexei Yashin.

Muckalt proceeded to play 71 games that season with zero goals. I would not think that could be possible for a forward that played regular minutes.

Olli Jokinen - the bar has been set. Can you get below it?!

I was thinking the same thing in regard to Jokinen. He is totally snake bit right now.

In jokinen's defense I feel like he's been playing well defensively.

Nashville has been a pleasure to watch this season.

I don't think Jokinen is playing a bad game. He's a pretty decent 2-way player for the Preds this year - especially for a 3rd liner. He just can't seem to finish.

Even though he's posted the donut, he's a cheap contract that doesn't kill your team with rookie mistakes or a consistent parade of stupid penalties.

I don't think anyone would bench Jokinen right now. It's more of a strange and humorous situation. Jarnkrok was in the same boat until this week when he started playing with Wilson and Smith. I think he now has a goal and two assist in the past two games. It's inly a matter of time for Olli.

If we resign Ribeiro, we bring back this entire team minus our third line and Volchnkov. Watson should be able to center the third line next year, and hopefully Fiala, Arvidson, and Leipsic will earn their spots on the team. Poile has gone from almost losing his job with a furious fan base to having a relatively easy job with a happy fa base in less than six months.

Without question the most infuriating result of all the coverage of this beat down is.. it's all about the Leafs..??

I'm sorry.. the team leading the most competitive divison in the NHL just caved your skull in.. why doesn't that register??

Oh.. I forgot. Preds are a non traditional joke market. Check..

Did anyone else notice the seeming friction between Wilson and Jarnkrok? Icy!

i've been saying it for awhile hte Preds are legit. they play a much better style and have more offensive weapons than ever before.

the leafs get what they deserve. Toronto is NOT the mecca of hockey. only a fool would believe that about Toronto when Montreal is in existence. the actual mecca of hockey is in Montreal. the city with the longest active presence of a professional hockey team, the most stanley cups, etc... etc...

in any case, good on the preds for sticking it to the leafs a team that never ceases to humiliate its fans. all the more fodder to harangue leafs fans with when they get out of line.

I'll keep an eye on it. Just sensed something in watching their interaction on the ice, both after Jarnkrok's goal and then Wilson's.
